Contea di Sclafani DOC “Rosso del Conte”
Tasca d'Almerita, Sicily, Italy
2013 2012 2010
“Ruby red colour in the glass with red brick reflections; lots of dark plum, damson and vanilla on the nose with additional layers of chocolate and cigar smoke. Very complex aromatics with patience rewarded. The palate is smooth and elegant but full and concentrated. Intensive notes of berry and chocolate follow through to a well structured, well polished finish. One of the great classics of Sicily.”
