Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG is the key appellation for premium Prosecco. Established in 2009, it delineates the original DOC territory, marking the area between the towns of Valdobbiadene in the west and Conegliano in the east. The hill of Cartizze is the most important site and produces wines labelled Superiore di Cartizze. The appellation’s Rive system has identified 43 distinctive vineyard plots that can be considered ‘cru’.

Bortolomiol is one of the great sparkling wine houses of Italy. It is known for its premium wines from the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG appellation, and in particular from the the prestigious subzone of Cartizze.
Tanoré is a small producer located in Valdobbiadene. Owned by the Follador family, the company produces a range of different Prosecco wines from Rive hamlets of Santo Stefano and San Pietro. Most importantly, the estate owns vineyard at the top of the prestigious Cartizze hill, a feat that has earned the family the nickname Tano Re, or King Tano.
Bortolin Angelo is a highly respected producer of premium Prosecco from Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG. In particular the estate’s vintage Superiore di Cartizze release is one of the benchmark wines of the appellation.
Sanfeletto is an historic producer of Prosecco based near Treviso. Founded in 1930 by the Ceschin family, whose winemaking connections in the area date back to the late 19th century, it continues to produce a wide range of sparkling wines today.
Villa Sandi is one of the most important producers in the Conegliano Valdobbianene area. Based in the hills of Marca Trevigiana, it is perhaps best known for the elegant Palladian style villa that symbolises the company. Despite having a relatively large number of hectares under vine for the area, the philosophy is to produce quality but fresh, approachable Prosecco wines, the result of which is a presence in over 100 countries worldwide.
