Campania, Italy

Via Vecchia Abbandonata agli Astroni, 3, Napoli, Provincia di Napoli, Italia, 80125

Raffaele Moccia is producing low production wines on the slopes of an extinct volcano just to the west of Naples. Falanghina and Piedirosso are the key varieties here.

Falanghina Flegrea (100%)
“Savoury, moorish palate with orchard and stone fruit. There is a stylish but faded grandeur about its evolution. Delicious, ethereal orchard fruit on the palate brought back to life by refreshing salinity and the complex scents of wild herb. Long, indulgent length.”
93 Paul Caputo
