Robola

Robola is a white grape variety that grows primarily on the Greek island of Kefalonia. For a long time it was thought to be the same variety as Ribolla Gialla of Friuli, but recent DNA testing contradicts this idea. It often produces full bodied wines that seem to balance high alcohol with good levels of acidity. For this reason Robola is considered an exciting variety.
